Research Focus

My research activities cover several key areas in materials science and energy-related applications, with a particular focus on sustainable materials and advanced functional devices.

  • Fuel cell and electrolyzer membranes: Development of polymeric ion-exchange membranes, including anion exchange membranes and proton exchange membranes, for electrochemical energy conversion and hydrogen production.
  • Thin-film photovoltaic cells: Synthesis and characterization of kesterite (CZTS) solar cells, with a focus on the fabrication and optimization of CZTS- and perovskite-based thin-film photovoltaic devices.
  • Thin-film thermoelectricity: Fabrication of thin-film thermoelectric generators based on sustainable materials, including CZTS, CTS, and CFS.
  • Electrochemical sensors: Development and characterization of electrochemical sensors based on functional materials for analytical and environmental applications.
  • Mechanical activation of drugs: Improvement of the dissolution behavior of pharmaceutical ingredients, particularly Efavirenz and Ritonavir, for applications related to HIV and COVID-19 treatments.
